I’ve just come back from holiday where I was able to indulge in one of my favourite occupations: reading. I learnt a new word: “panglossian.”
I love this word!
It means “characterized by or given to extreme optimism, especially in the face of unrelieved hardship or adversity.”
I’ve also seen it defined as “being excessively optimistic”, but the optimist in me is choosing to ignore that definition because . . . well, it’s just too negative, isn’t it?!
Wouldn’t it be great if more people in an organisation could be more optimistic and positive?
Wouldn’t it be great if they were supported and developed to try?
People are just so important.
