Watching the BBC’s Who do you think you are, I was taken with a statement the episode’s subject, Sir Ian McKellen made about some of the people he discovered in his search:

“They’ve done talented things.  And part of the world, not loners.”

That thought.  That we contribute to the world by not being a loner.  How wonderful.

Everyone’s got something to share, to give, haven’t they?
