This made me smile.

So much so that I tried to establish the provenance of this lovely saying.  The best I could come up with was that it might be one of the following:

• from the musician Andy Biersack
• a spin on Elle Lothlorien’s quote, “Be yourself. Unless you can be a unicorn, In that case, you should always be a unicorn.“
• an Internet meme (author unknown) that’s simply gone viral since the popularity of the Batman film franchise.

It’s unlikely we can be superheroes, at least not all the time – that status is reserved for the very few.  But being yourself is something to strive for.  And more than that … knowing yourself first so that you can be who you really are.  I think that in itself is pretty spectacular.
