Working weekly with a group of people, I always enable a quiet period of reflection at the end of our time together.
Sometimes this is only a minute; if we’re lucky (and this feels like a luxury), it’s five.
When we each return our thoughts to the room and the group, it usually goes like this:
“You’ve just experienced one minute of quiet mindfulness, of silent meditation, of pure relaxation. Just imagine if you allowed yourself only one minute of “me time” in each and every day . . . how much you’d achieve, and how it might make you feel.”
In a busy world where we often find it a challenge to find time for ourselves, surely we’re all worth one minute?
