I have a wonderful friend who enjoys every day to the best of her ability.

She travels, daily, to a beautiful country park where she exercises by running and sometimes swimming in a beautiful lake.

And whenever I go with her, she starts off on her journey as if she’s never been there before.  Each visit seems to be filled with wonderment and joy and fascination.

Each time I’m moved by her boundless optimism, her happiness, her capacity to make the most of life’s simple pleasures.

I’m moved by her unstinting belief in herself.

I’m moved by her self-confidence and self-assurance.

Oh, and by her ambition . . .

. . . yes, she’s got ambition.  She never seems to doubt it.
