“Sometimes it takes falling apart to see exactly how or what loosened the mortar. Sometimes we find we are responsible for the how & the what. As unpleasant as it is when it happens, one cannot help but appreciate these times for what you learn serves as a beacon. Of course this is only half the battle. Which means you’re already half way there” (Colleen Truscott Fry).
How many of us have sailed through life with no problems at all?
Not me, that’s for sure. And looking back on the odd blip I’ve experienced along the way, I know and remember what and who helped me through.
While I would never wish difficult times on anyone else, I’ve come to realise that it is good when you finally understand that it’s OK to have the feelings you’re having, and that I wasn’t the first, and wouldn’t be the last, person to experience difficulties.
Take a look around you – is there someone who might be able to benefit from your journey?
