definition of confidenceI read that in a car travelling at maximum motorway speeds (let’s say 70 mph for the speed-camera conscious amongst us), it would take 19 million years to reach the edge of the Solar System.

And even in NASA’s New Horizons spacecraft, the fastest object ever launched from Earth, you’d need to set aside 37,000 years to make the same trip.

That’s a lot of stars, and a lot of confidence.

What a lovely thought.
