This is a good piece – “Mansplaining – what does it mean?” – though I do feel it’s being unfair on the male sex.  If I was smart enough I’d come up with a more generic term to describe this phenomenon, but in the absence of that brilliance, I hope the men reading this will forgive its use and read on . . .

I come across many people who are experts at mansplaining, regardless of gender. 

I only wish I could come up with a quick retort to let them know I’ve heard it before, I’m aware, I might just be about as smart as they are. The problem, however, that I perceive with mansplaining, is that the mansplainer rarely listens.
