I had a yearning the other day to strip things back to basics, to return to simple, to enjoy the pleasures in life that I might be taking for granted.

What prompted it?

A little girl sitting on her dad’s knee on the bus into town – getting excited at the prospect of being able to “ring the bell” for their stop.
Can you remember when the most exciting thing in your life was pressing the bell on the bus for it to stop at your stop?
