The Boss may be right . . .

Listening to Bruce Springsteen speak on Desert Island Discs (BBC Radio 4, 18 December 2016) I was really taken by his commentary on taking responsibility for what you do and how you feel.  He highlighted the tendency we can all have to think or say, “I feel bad because …” with the because bit being where you’re blaming whatever’s got you there on someone or something else.

Being able to say why or how we feel is important.  And more than that, perhaps, to remember … we each have a choice.  I have a choice about how I react to a situation or to a person.  I can choose how I let that affect me.
