BookCrossing is a world library social networking site, aiming to connect people through books.  I’m not endorsing it here – I can’t; I simply don’t know enough about it yet – but it does seem a delicious concept.  And even if the online aspect of its social networking doesn’t immediately appeal, wouldn’t it be wonderful to think that someone else had experienced the joy you felt when you read that amazing book for the first time?

“You know you’ve read a good book when you turn the last page and feel a little as if you have lost a friend” (Paul Sweeney).
