Are you there yet?

A wonderful friend supports and indulges my blogging, and I am happy, and indeed flattered, to vicariously present some of her thoughts articulated in the many discussions we easily have on aspects of leadership and personal development.

From a recent trip to the USA, she provided me with a photo of the Manhattanhenge, prompting a conversation between us about what it might feel like when things line up in one place, when it all comes together.

It reminded me of Maslow … top of the pyramid stuff where the planets align and you think, I finally get it or at last, I’ve arrived!

Whatever, it’s a wonderful metaphor for self-actualization.  (And if you’d like to read more on that very subject, see Stephen Joseph’s excellent article: What is self-actualization?)
