Sometimes leadership comes from the simplest starting points.
A colleague was organising a team social event. With only 5 people in the team, she made a decision to choose a venue, a date, a theme, and to book it … and then let all team members know (and hope, of course, that they’d like her choice). It really wouldn’t have been much of a majority vote if she’d chosen, say, 3 options, and we’d all stated our preferences.
And she was right. She made a decision. Her leadership showed up.
Perhaps small, perhaps not too significant, but I loved it.
