I read that Portugal’s Eurovision Song Contest winner, Salvador Sobral, has recently undergone a heart transplant. 
Of course, I don’t know the guy, but it didn’t stop me from wishing him well. Who amongst us wouldn’t? 
And it made me resolve, when I’m watching Eurovision next year to perhaps think twice before I comment on any of the performers. I might never know what it took to get them into the stage that evening, or what they might have to face when they step off.
