Inside the UK Men’s Shed of the Year.

I’d no idea that there was such an award categorisation, but on reading about it, just could not deny what a wonderful initiative this is.

It really is a feel-good story. And I think it’s more than about men getting together. It could be women, people of different genders and ages and backgrounds, but all with a common need …. a desire to belong, to be able to talk to others, to keep occupied, and, more than that … to keep the old grey cells working. As one of the Shed’s members puts it:

“It’s a toss up between this and watching Cash in the Attic, there’s not much in it, is there?”
