A colleague replied to my email the other day.  This was what it said:

“Woohoo! xx”

Just one word (oh, and two kisses).

So what are you thinking?

Not business-like … unprofessional … and two kisses, for heaven’s sake!?

Pah!

I loved it.  It said everything I needed it to say, and completely hit the spot.  She got the sentiment exactly right, she said what was in her heart and probably on her sleeve.

I might call it rapport, communication, being human, empathising, or sharing.  Whatever it was, she made a connection with me with just one word.

I think that’s pretty incredible.
