I read that over an 8-year period, “The Only Way Is Essex has kept viewers hooked with its glossy brand of real-life drama, served in glamorous locations along with some enviable outfits.”

I truly have never seen this television programme, though of course I’m aware it exists from the many trailers I’ve seen trying to tempt me to watch it.  (They’ve failed.)

More interesting than watching the show might well be the show’s opening disclaimer:

“The tans you see may be fake, but the people are all real.”

With wit and humour like that, do you know … I might just be tempted to switch on . . .
