A cartoon called Finnish Nightmares by Karoliina Korhonen focuses on Matti, a socially-awkward cartoon character.
Matti is afraid of crowds and small talk, and he gets easily embarrassed
He’s shy and introspective and usually finds himself in the middle of awkward social situations.
Yet within a very short time after its creation, a community developed around the cartoon, through which people started to share with each other their own experiences of awkward situations. I’m guessing that even non-Finns, and introverts the world over, can relate to these?
