It feels as if – in a good way – we office workers are often being challenged with doing it better, finding new ways of working. And if it promotes our wellbeing, that’s surely got to be good.
Well it seems that standing, instead of sitting, at our desks, makes us not just healthier, but smarter as well. Over the course of a year, just standing for 3 hours a day is apparently equivalent to the benefits of running 10 marathons. It’s something to do with our cognitive performance improving when we’re under stress.
I’m no marathon runner, but I reckon that even I could make the change to standing for at least some of the day.
I ask you . . . who wouldn’t want to be smarter?
