Analyst Ben Wood says:

“For me, 2019 is the year when people are going to be more aware of the amount of time they are spending on their phones. But breaking up with their phones? That’s a very big ask.”

I’d better let my grandson know. We bought him a toy smartphone for Christmas. It looks just like Mummy’s… and before Christmas Day was out he was holding the phone up to his ear, no doubt in imitation of what he’s seen many of his family doing on a regular basis.

My grandson has just had his FIRST birthday.
