Adwoa Aboah began modelling while studying drama at Brunel University.  In 2017 she was the first cover star of Edward Enninful’s Vogue magazine, and also in that year named GQ Woman of the Year.  She founded the online platform Gurls Talk, a discussion forum for mental health, body image and sexuality, and in 2019, Barbie’s 60^th anniversary “sheros” role-model range will include an Adwoa doll.  When asked what she might change or edit in her past, Ms Aboah answered:

“Nothing.  Everything’s got me to this point and I had to learn lots of things.  Maybe I just wouldn’t have been so terrified all the time, and I would have got up a bit earlier – I missed quite a few mornings.”
