I listened to Professor Phil Manning from the University of Manchester talking so enthusiastically about the impact of the asteroid that wiped out the dinosaurs some 66 million years ago. Aside from revealing what happened on the very last day of the dinosaurs, Professor Manning was more than a little taken with the results that excavations of the Chicxulub crater in North Dakota have revealed:
“If a slice of rock could be lickable, this one is.”
