Last year, BTS became the first South Korean band to headline Wembley Stadium. History-making in itself, and a feel-good story, on the face of it perhaps just about a boy-band with a lavender-haired singer, a growing fanbase and only the third UK show of their career.
It seems that their achievement did not go unnoticed back at home. And I also spotted something (no, I wasn’t there at the concert) … the boys are fans of Carl Jung – psychiatrist, psychoanalyst and the founder of analytical psychology . His ideas of the persona, shadow, ego, and self are apparently littered throughout their album, Map Of The Soul: Persona.
It’s nice to be surprised.
