In a tribute after the death of Battle of Britain Ace Tom “Ginger” Neil, Dermot O’Leary wrote about having met him in 2015.  He called Mr Neill “a true hero” and spoke about having the privilege of his company over several interviews:

“It was an education and a lesson in how to grow old with an active, inquisitive mind and to never be defined by someone else’s opinion of you.”

What wonderful words for a wonderful person who made a real impact on so many.
