Quite joyful . . .

Endured or enjoyed

This is a true story …

I overheard someone thanking a colleague for delivering a presentation (and it truly was fantastic).  The recipient of the praise thanked them, and then just checked they’d overheard them correctly:

“Did you say endured or enjoyed?!”

It was a bit of a tongue in cheek quip, for the colleagues knew each other well, and the presenter is a most lovely, humble professional – but nevertheless genuinely talented and skilled at presenting, and also mesmeric in her delivery.

But it got me thinking – the difference between endured and enjoyed … it’s just 3 little letters, and one rather marvellous word.
