A colleague recently reminded a group of us that we can’t be amazing at everything. There are just some things we’re never going to be able to crack or excel at.
My achilles heel will always be most things numerical. You may have your own weaknesses.
They suggested that the key to coping is to stop beating ourselves up and to instead accept what we’re not good at … and then to find someone who is. Someone who can help. In summary, 3 simple steps:
- You’re never going to be amazing at everything
- Who is amazing at what you’re not?
- Ask that person for help
