At work, on any particular day, I can access, should I want to …

a state of the art sports centre, including swimming pool, an early morning exercise class, a restaurant or a coffee shop (in abundance), a chemist, a monthly farmers’ market, a boating lake, a theatre, any one of a number of libraries, including a local archives division, a doctor’s surgery, a bookstore, a hairdressing salon and a supermarket. And on top of that there are numerous clubs and social events and lectures held all year round that I can join in on. 

All I need now is on-site accommodation in our most beautiful grounds, and I could live here. Quite easily. 

Work-life balance?  Pah!  I think I might have found the answer.
